2010 Annual Dinner: Honoring Joci Straus
On Thursday, April 8, SAYL held its annual dinner at the San Antonio Country Club. This year’s event honored Jocelyn "Joci" Straus. Over 170 guests enjoyed a silent auction filled with wonderful treasures, a scrumptious dinner provided by the Country Club, and presentations made by Lesha Dalton, Principal of Olmos Elementary, and a moving video piece. The evening wrapped up with a presentation by Joci Straus.
Ms. Straus has been a long time community service and literacy advocate to the San Antonio community. Ms. Straus currently serves as Co-Chair of the Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy "Celebration of Literacy," Advisory Board member of the Children's Fine Art Services, and is a member of the Friends of San Antonio Library.
